The antivirus should be installed to your all computers to avoid from attack of the virus.

Update the anti virus software and scan your computer daily.
New virus come out everyday, which cannot be detected by old antivirus software. Hence, it need to be updated daily.

Updated antivirus need to be run to your computer daily to avoid the infection.

Donot open any files which is downloaded to your computer if it is not safe or detect virus. eg, downloaded files, attachments etc.

Try to avoid browsing unsafe sites.

Donot open cds and floopies without scanning it with antivirus and donot open such cds and floopies affected with virus.

If any of your computer is affected with virus, donot scan or format virus while it is connected to network. Virus can be spread from network to other computers also.

Keep backup of your important file and format your computer time to time.
